SECOND SUPPLEMENTAL AND EXTENSION OF 

Emergency Order for a Temporary Moratorium on all construction projects in Aquinnah

 

WHEREAS, on March 22, 2020, the Boards of Selectmen and Health adopted, an order imposing an emergency temporary regulations on construction activity in the Town, effective until 12:00 p.m. on April 7, 2020 (the “Construction Activity Order”);

WHEREAS, the Governor of the Commonwealth has declared a state of emergency in response to COVID-19, and has issued a further Order on March 23, 2020, entitled COVID-19 Order No. 13, and, whereas, on March 31, 2020, the Governor extended COVID-19 Order No. 13 until May 4, 2020; 

WHEREAS, effective Thursday, April 2, 2020, the Town extended its Construction Activity Order until April 21, at 5:00 p.m. 

 

NOW, THEREFORE, in order to protect the health and safety of the inhabitants of the Town, effective April 22, 2020, at 8:00 a.m., the Construction Activity Order, as extended on April 2, 2020, is further extended until April 27, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. and, further, effective April 27, 2020, at 8:00 a.m., through May 4, 2020, at 5:00 p.m., said Order is amended and supplemented as follows:

 

“Construction Activity at One- and Two-Worker Construction Sites, only, may commence (on April 27, 2020 at 8:00 a.m.); provided, however, that any work at One- and Two-Worker Construction Sites must strictly follow and observe the “Martha’s Vineyard Construction Guidelines – Rules for Getting Back to Work Phase 1”, attached hereto.
