Message from the Aquinnah Community Emergency Response Team

Dear Aquinnah neighbors,

A winter storm is approaching that is expected to bring rain, high winds, and cold temperatures, starting Thursday Night and continuing through Sunday.  There is a chance that we will face power outages, potentially prolonged, and this is a good time to be sure you have what you need to be ready to weather the storm.  

Attached are some tips from our Community Emergency Response Team about sheltering in place.  Should there be a prolonged outage, the daytime warming shelter will be opened at the Town Hall, and if needed the overnight shelter at the Tribe's Community Center will also be activated.  Please do not leave your home for shelters until it is safe to do so.
