Meeting Notes

Attendance: Jim Pickmand, Mitzi Pratt, Committee Members; Jeff Madison, Town Staff; Gisele Gauthier, Consultant
Meeting notes from January 14, 2026, were approved.
Gisele updated the committee on the progress of the following projects:
ADA Compliant Stairs/Ramp project
- This project is funded by Orsted, wind farm developer.
- The Funding Agreement is moving forward. We are waiting for a spending schedule from the contractor to finalize.
- Once finalized, Jeff will sign it and the funds will come to the Town shortly after.
- Discussed the potential impact of Jay Smalley’s departure on the project.
- Construction is planned to start on March 1.
Homestead Weatherization Project
- This project is funded by Orsted, wind farm developer.
- Funding has been received by the Town and is waiting to be spent.
- This project will use some CPA Funds as well.
- Gisele is working with Rise Engineering to finalize their proposals.
- Looking for a start very quickly.
Homestead Painting/Electrical/Water Project
- This project is funded through a Mass Cultural Council grant and the Aquinnah CPA.
- All work has been paused due to the snow.
- One response was received for the painting RFP. It didn’t include all the required certifications, so we’ve asked the contractor to execute them.
Other
- Gisele forwarded an email to core group regarding MCC changes.
- Gisele also reminded the committee that she will be away on vacation, and unreachable, from Feb 24 – March 6.
Next meeting is scheduled for February 12, 2026.
