Income Eligible Ratepayer Programs
Vineyard Power currently supports income eligible ratepayer energy efficient programs for affordable/deed restricted and rental properties. Participants must have their Eversource electric bill in their name. These are as follows:
- Mass Save No-Cost Home Energy Assessment
- Receive a no-cost home energy assessment and unlock a variety of incentives to save energy and money.
- Incentives include but are not limited to: up to 100% off insulation costs, rebates of up to $10,000 on air source heat pumps, 0% interest HEAT Loan, and more rebates & discounts on energy efficient appliances. Greater incentives are available for income-qualified participants, renters, and landlords.
- Eversource Discount Rate
- Income-eligible households receive a 42% discount on their electricity bills.
- Cape Light Compact Power Supply
- Funded by a donation by Vineyard Power, all income-eligible ratepayers enrolled in the Cape Light Compact power supply will receive bi-annual checks amounting to a 10-15% reduction in their electricity costs.
- A community solar program that offers enrolled ratepayers $600 (on average 20-30%) discount on their electric bill per year.
- Energy Saver Home Loan Program
- For households earning between 80% – 135% of the Area Median Income. A 20-year loan of up to $100,000 at 0.5%-2% for energy saving improvements that receive a 20% reduction in energy use.
- Cape and Vineyard Solar Loan
- For households earning more than 135% of the Area Median Income. 10-year solar loan of up to $50,000 at 2.75%.
- Fuel Assistance/LIHEAP
- A means-tested government program led by South Shore Community Action Council to reduce heating costs between November-April. Savings based on individual income criteria.
