Aquinnah Playground Update

We have a playground! 

Phase 1 was completed in November and our kids are out there everyday.  The Parks and Recreation Committee is so grateful to the Aquinnah and Martha's Vineyard community for its support.  We couldn't have done it without you.

This first phase of the playground is just the beginning of a comprehensive plan to create a Village Center adjacent to Aquinnah Town Hall.  The playground will be expanded to include elements geared toward younger children, and we are working on updating the basketball court.  The plan also includes a food forest, a pavilion, walking trails and benches.  We hope there is something for everyone.

We are ready to begin phase 2 of the playground, and improvements to the basketball court are in the works. Our fundraising has begun, and once again we are reaching out to the community for support.  If you'd like to contribute to this next phase, now is a great time.  The kids are ready.
