Town Center Corridor project

The Town of Aquinnah wishes to allow for some needed development in the Town Center. This development will support the basic needs of the Aquinnah community, which includes members of the Wampanoag Tribe, many who live on sovereign Tribal Lands situated within the Town boundaries. Among the highlighted community needs are additional affordable housing and needed community amenities to support residents’ livelihoods. In the future, the Town Center may support light commercial or live/work uses.  Background information on public policy, planning and zoning, housing and environmental concerns have been gathered to inform development of the Town Center. Ideally, the project will culminate in a new ByLaw for the corridor.
