Aquinnah Infrastructure Committee
Minutes- July 2, 2025
Meeting was called to Order at 5:05 PM
Members Present were Eric Litt, Chair , Mike Parker, Adrian Higgins, Jay Bodnar, Gary Haley, and Richard Wagner. Select Board members Tom Murphy and Chris Manning, Town Administrator Jeff Madison and Town Accountant, Emily Day were also I attendance.
For this meeting, Eric Litt prepared and emailed an Agenda, a DRAFT Committee Charter and a DRAFT Facilities Manager job description to each member. They were described as DRAFTS and Eric asked that they be reviewed & revised as necessary, and ready for discussion and consideration at the next meeting.
Emily prepared a financial overview of the committee’s financial history & current status, along with reasonable reimbursement expectations. With $66,539.16 in hand, and another $200K to be reimbursed after Town Meeting approval, the Committee should expect $266,539.be available to address the Towns many deferred maintenance challenges.
A discussion of Procurement Laws led by Jeff and Emily followed, including a reading of the synopsis of the laws and the pricing categories.
A concern regarding improper trenching of the gas lines behind Town Offices was expressed by Jay and Adrian and followed up by a viewing after the meeting.
An extensive discussion on use of available funds took place, followed up by a Motion by Jay Bodnar to replace the flooring in the room above the Fire Station and paint the trim on the Police Station. The Motion was seconded and Chairman Litt called for the vote, which was approved unanimously.
A date of Wednesday, July 30th at 5:PM was chosen for the next meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:30PM
