Playground
- Phase 1: Status, moving excess materials management and plan
- Phase 2: planning for Fall installation
Client’s responsibilities:
• Supplying a liaison from the Client to help coordinate the design and construction process
between the Client and L&A
• Obtain any necessary permits if applicable.
o Typically permits are not required for public playgrounds. ASTM F147-11 standards
are the design standards for the project.
• Provide any necessary site work, such as grading or drainage
o Site may need to be elevated and sloped to 1%
• Provide any heavy equipment to complete the job
o Skid steer, all terrain telescoping forklift etc.
• Provide any temporary fencing if required.
• Accept delivery of some of the materials
• Provide power and water to the construction site
• Provide housing for up to 6 L&A staff during construction period.
• Provide installation of safety surfacing and sub-base if necessary
o Can be done with community help
o Phase one does not contain a boarder for the surfacing. The surfacing can be tapered down on the edges. Path by client can provide some retainage.
Complete any site cleanup restoration like grass areas outside of playground border
